Each 100g contains
Tannins 16.65 g, medicinal coal extracted from Castanea Sativa Mill 5 g, medicinal plant extract (garlic, oregano, fennel) 10 g, Bentonite 5 g, Calcium carbonate 2 g, Lactic acid 2.4 g, Support: fodder wheat flour to 100g.
It is a dietary supplement designed to reduce diarrhoea of any kind, especially dysenteric diarrhoea caused by Brachyspira hyodisenteriae.
Each component has anti-diarrhoeal action and/or normalisation of the intestinal flora. Together, or in an optimal combination, the effect of these components is more effective, so the medicinal coal is a strong stabiliser of intestinal flora with high adsorption power (100-150 m2/g). Inactived charcoal is able to bind, inactivate molecules of various sizes, enterotoxins, mycotoxins, gases or liquids. The effect of medicinal coal is enhanced by the presence of minerals such as bentonite, the latter being in turn very powerful absorber with high intestinal toxin binding power. Polyphenols in plant extracts act as natural antibiotics, preventing the growth of pathogenic flora and favouring the development of normal microbial flora in the gut. At the same time, the diversity of these polyphenols favours the absorption of nutrients in the gut, also having an antioxidant and immunostimulatory effect. Organic acids in natural extracts (tannic acid), along with volatile oils, during their presence in the gut, acidify intestinal contents, preventing the multiplication of pathogenic bacteria such as Brachyspira, preventing the occurrence of dysenteric diarrhoea. Alliin and allicin in garlic extract have a strong antibacterial, antioxidant and immunostimulating effect.
